TO PAY DIVIDEND

Singer Thailand Plc. (SINGER) said its board of directors resolved at the 121st meeting held on April 25, 1997 to pay an interim dividend payment of Bt4.50 per share, Bt121.5 million totally, to holders of the company's 27 million shares for the operation during the 6 months beginning July 1 to December 31, 1996. Shareholders who have right to receive this dividend are those whose names appear in the share registration book at 12.00 am. on May 12, 1997. The payment will be made on May 25, 1997.
